At Weentar we are reimagining social media through the power of the blockchain.

We are creating social media 3.0 with influencers, celebrities and creators being able to launch their own digital currency by simply creating a profile with media content posted as Non fungible Tokens that can be owned and traded on the Weentar network.

Individuals can buy and trade tokens of their favourite people to profit off as first movers and gain access to exclusive content. Think of it as Onlyfans on the blockchain and instead of subscriptions, fans can own creator tokens with media posted as NFTs that can be owned and traded.

For Creators

Creators can gain independence through a decentralised digital currency system that is dependent on growing and engaging with the community and also their star power. They own 10–15% of the total value of the tokens minted.

For Hodlers

Holding social tokens allows the individual to gain access to benefits including unreleased content, private communities, direct access to celebrity, early-access to tickets and more as well as the ability to trade with other communities in order to gain access to more creator content with early token buyers being the biggest winners as the value of the token increases with more buyers.

What makes us different?

We would only only launch tokens with the express permission of the creators. There are several thousand celebrities and creators on twitter, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube with followings in the millions who we would be actively engaging before we go viral. We would get them on our platform and they would see the opportunity to create a fan driven digital economy where their digital content can be traded as NFTs and their most loyal fans can have the monetary value of the creator’s currency increase significantly as they promote their digital currency across their channels while our native token holders benefit from the Weentar popularity.

Content as trade-able digital assets: Access as trade-able digital currency

Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram generate their revenue through ads. Our platform would run a very different system. Each creator has their own digital currency under our native token, they are entitled to 10 to 15% of their currency. Fans buy and sell their digital currency for monetary gain and access to content and other features that the creators allow to cause for more excitement in their own micro-economy. Content is for sale as Non Fungible Tokens with fans and investors alike bidding to own content that can be resold at a future greater value.

The future of social media is not paid advertising, our system allows for greater control and liquidity for creators and fans alike that comes to be as a direct result of the strength of their follower-ship.

Powered by the Binance Smart Chain….for now

We must acknowledge the genius of the binance smart chain while also acknowledging the fact that a lot of not too well thought project has been launched on it. We would be using the binance smart chain but we would be launching our own blockchain project that fits perfectly with our project in less than a year from now. The binance smart chain allows for more audience participation.

Future partnerships with celebrities and agencies across the globe

Cryptocurrency projects are notoriously opposed to celebrity endorsement but that does not apply here. Our project allows for celebrities, big and small to create more value for their presence online in the same way that Patreon, Onlyfans and others like it have done. But better. Way better. We would be announcing celebrity partnerships after partnerships before the actual platform arrives to keep the conversation going and once we do arrive we would borrow from the clubhouse marketing tactic to keep our platform as invite only to allow for bigger celebrities to be a part of our beta so the smaller celebrities and creators are more inclined to come onboard. This collaboration between Hollywood (celebrities, influencers and creators) and Cryptocurrency allows us to constantly be in the news.

A competent team that is growing

A CTO and co-founder who is a blockchain developer from Germany and a tech lead in an IT firm. A CEO and co-founder from Newport Beach California, with working experience from one of the biggest crowd funding platforms in the space that has raised over 133 Million dollars in various successful projects with some of them in cryptocurrency space, A blockchain lead from Nepal, and a contractual relationship with blockchain development company with experience being the backbone of some of the more successful companies in the space. We have writers, designers, graphic artists and social media marketing persons all working to quickly bring our vision to fruition.

Cryptocurrency adoption is at less than 1% of the global world population with some countries and entities actively fighting against its mass adoption and the smartest developers and nerds holding the fort. Bitcoin was the first, and it has since grown to thousands of tokens launched all aiming to fix one problem or the other with some quite simply FOMOing the moment. Our goal is to bring mass adoption to the cryptocurrency space by dumbing it down. How far down? So down that even a celebrity can explain it in simple words to their followers and have them download an app, buy into the social currency of their favourite person and watch their investment as is with other cryptocurrency project. We are trying to do to this space what investment apps did for the “nonexistent retail investors”. We are gamifying digital currency, bringing in popular faces instead of hard to understand projects to make it the norm and inadvertently being the “gateway drug” for a lot of people to finally give this space a real look.

A new digital economy is coming. People would be just as powerful as countries and creators would be paid beyond the peanuts that conventional social media platforms can offer. There would be new markets and advertisers with little to offer would not find home there. Like Kanye said, “Personalities would become the new currency, and services would be built on top of them”. Well, Kanye didn’t exactly say that, but it sounds like something we hope he would say.

Currency is digital, it has been that way for a while now, but this time there would be no dead presidents on the money, there would people like you on the money, and you would own it because it would make the most sense in the world.
